There was a crash on the Route Z overpass on I-70 in Callaway County on April 28, 2026.

At approximately 8:10 a.m., a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by a 70-year-old male from Columbia attempted to cross Route Z and struck a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country driven by a 16-year-old female from Auxvasse.
The juvenile was taken by ambulance to University Hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.

An 81-year-old Moberly man was killed in a Boone County crash on April 29, 2026 on US-63 South at McComas Road. According to the report, the Moberly man, who was driving a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, was traveling on the right shoulder of Southbound US-63. A 2023 Ford Transit, driven by a 56-year-old Brunswick man, was also traveling South on US-63. The driver of the Dodge made a left turn and entered Southbound 63. The driver of the Ford attempted to change lanes to avoid the vehicle, but ultimately, the front right side of the Ford hit the left side of the Dodge. The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver of the Ford and its two passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were all transported by ambulance to University Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
