Two people suffered minor injuries after a crash on Route K, West of Route KK in Boone County on April 28, 2026.
A 2017 GMC Sierra, driven by a 41-year-old Columbia man, was traveling Westbound on K behind a 2021 Toyota Sienna, driven by a 40-year-old Columbia woman. When the Toyota made an abrupt stop, the GMC struck the rear of the Toyota, propelling it forward, and then coming to rest in the Westbound lane. The GMC then traveled off the left side of the roadway and into a ditch before coming to rest.
Both drivers were transported by ambulance to University Hospital with minor injuries. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

According to the report, a 1962 Chevrolet C-10, driven by a 61-year-old Eureka man, was traveling northbound and a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 was traveling southbound on Route W. An 81-year-old Moberly man was killed in a Boone County crash on April 29, 2026 on US-63 South at McComas Road. According to the report, the Moberly man, who was driving a 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan, was traveling on the right shoulder of Southbound US-63. A 2023 Ford Transit, driven by a 56-year-old Brunswick man, was also traveling South on US-63. The driver of the Dodge made a left turn and entered Southbound 63. The driver of the Ford attempted to change lanes to avoid the vehicle, but ultimately, the front right side of the Ford hit the left side of the Dodge. The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to the Boone County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver of the Ford and its two passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were all transported by ambulance to University Hospital. Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
